We recently had a full rack of ribs from Oklahoma Joe’s (3002 W. 47th Ave., Kansas City, Kansas), so we did what any food publication might do in our place: we asked a Kansas City photographer to use them as props in vignettes featuring LEGO minifigures. Chris Mullins helped conceive, compose and shoot what will be a four-part series with weekly installments. The ribs proved to be surprisingly versatile in our mad scientist version of food styling.
