Pezzettino Italian Deli & Market (2101 Broadway) opens Wednesday. The new eatery will have a market attached with prepared goods (house tapenades, sauce and pesto) and sundries, as well as bread from Sasha’s Baking Company and gelato from Paciugo.
The owners of Pezzettino are Chris and Annie Spohn — the granddaughter of Vincenzo and Antonina Sola, the longtime proprietors of Sola’s in Columbus Park. They’ve hired executive chef Tomas Digregorio to design a menu of Italian sandwiches, pastas and salads. Pezzettino will also have a happy hour called ‘Aperitivo,’ from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with wine pairings, bruschetta, and cheese and meat plates. They’ll serve beer and wine alongside a seasonal cocktail menu: updated takes on classic Italian cocktails like the negroni and bellini.
Pezzettino will be open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The phone number is 816-612-8333.
