Kansas City’s Food Map of The Stars [map]

startours.062414With Kansas City popping up in celebrity selfies over the weekend, mostly courtesy of the 2014 Big Slick Celebrity Weekend (a fundraiser/bowling tournament to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital,) it seemed like a great time to create a Star Food Map of Kansas City. The Recommended Daily has set up a guide (see below) with recommendations from the stars that have spent a little time eating and drinking their way through the metro.

You can scroll through the map, click here to view it online or download a PDF to do a driving tour. Enjoy your star tour of Kansas City and let us know where else we should add in the comments.

Awesome, except you cited the wrong Taco Via. This is very important to the true Via aficionado. The original, at 95th and Antioch, is the only one that uses all original recipes. This includes the onion sauce on their burritos and where your order can be taken by Debbie. It is the all the little nuances that make the difference and set the original Taco Via above all others. (I know, I am a fanatic.)

Just a few others that come to mind: Jason Mraz gushed about Cafe Gratitude when he was at Starlight, Bourdain when he was in town for his show took the Black Keys to Woodyard’s BBQ, and the guys from Keane loved the mac and cheese at Annie’s Oven. I’m sure there are others!
