Google Fiber’s April Fools’ is Coffee to the Home

Google's predictive brew technology.

Google’s predictive brew technology.

Kansas City was the first place in the universe to get Google Fiber. And now this city will be the first one to have Coffee to the Home (watch the intro video here) — a cloud-based system that provides coffee drinks on demand via a tap attached to the Google Fiber wall jack. [Remember, this is an April Fools’ joke].

The video, linked above, introduces the pilot service and “your direct coffee super highway.” The system runs on a “predictive brew technology,” that can base your coffee order on past preferences or pair it with a television program. It’s a clever ad for the Internet service combined with the morning’s first April Fool’s Day joke. And it’s becoming a yearly tradition, Google Fiber gave us “ Fiber to the Pole,” last year.
