Corner Bakery Cafe is now open in Leawood

If you call it a breakfast cookie, then it’s fine.

For those who crave First Watch, we give you the Corner Bakery Cafe. The Dallas import has opened at 11705 Roe Avenue, Suite A, in the Camelot Court development in Leawood. The clever names run from breakfast through dinner, starting with scramblers and scrambled egg sandwiches (a rarity outside the home kitchen) to grilled paninis, skillet pasta dishes and soup in a bread bowl or individual sized crock. As for drinks, the wildest it gets is a pumpkin latte or hibiscus lemonade. A dish they tout and which the Internet (if the Internet is to be believed) craves, is the Chicken Pomodori on Sourdough — a grilled panini with chicken, basil, spinach, oven-roasted tomatoes, provolone cheese and pesto mayo.
