Brake for Vic Benefit & other weekend possibilities

weekeend-112715Brake For Vic Benefit — a pig roast and auction to benefit local bartender Vic Rodriguez — is Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Rieger (1924 Main Street). Rodriguez was riding his scooter and was involved in a car accident that left him with two broken arms, unable to work behind the bar. The money raised will go toward his family and medical bills.

Drinking is an art and printmaker Charley Forsyth is ready to honor that in print form. Have a Drink (It’ll Cost Ya…) is a showcase of prints featuring everything from coffee to seltzer to cocktails. Check out the show at Henry’s Coffee Shop (11 E 18th Street, Lawrence, Kansas) from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight.

The city of Liberty has a new event. Hometown Holidays (101 E Kansas Street, Liberty, Missouri) is this Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.  will feature horse-drawn wagon rides (2-4 p.m.), S’mores and live music.

Sweet rides and free donuts. Kansas City Cars and Coffee comes to Rosana Square (7720 W 119th Street) Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. You can bring your whip or just come to admire the cars on display. Coffee and donuts are free.

Tis’ the season for pub crawls. Broadway’s Fall Crawl, a benefit for LIKEME Lighthouse, is from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Join the crawl for $10 and get discounts at participating bars (Woody’s Classic Sports Pub, Industry Video Bar, Uptown Arts Bar, Chez Charlie, Blarney Stone and Mini Bar), starting with Hamburger Mary’s Kansas City (3700 Broadway, Suite 110).
