Boulevard Chocolate Ale’s arrival on shelves delayed by bad weather

Brand_Chocolate_AleBoulevard’s Chocolate Ale is on taps (Flying Saucer, Martin City Brewing Company, 75th Street Brewery, Rock & Run Brewery, among others) around Kansas City, but those looking to pick up a bottle will have to wait a little longer.

Originally scheduled to arrive on shelves tomorrow, the third iteration of the collaboration from the Boulevard Brewing Company and chocolatier Christopher Elbow (you can see Boulevard brewmaster Steven Pauwels and Elbow discuss it here) is being delayed because of the storm that is expected to hit Kansas City tonight. Boulevard and Central States released the following joint statement:

Due to the potential inclement winter weather in the Kansas City area during the next 24 hours, Central States Beverage Company deliveries scheduled for Tuesday will be postponed on both the Missouri and Kansas side of our distribution area. This includes the announced release of the Boulevard Smokestack Series Chocolate Ale. Each account will receive their delivery when weather conditions improve. We anticipate having trucks back on the roads Wednesday morning but will communicate if that changes. Thank you for understanding as we strive to ensure that our drivers—and consumers—are safe on the roads.

Boulevard and Central States will send out more information when deliveries resume.
